After an entire day of celebrations, Indian captain and T20 World Champion Rohit Sharma dedicated the World Cup victory to the Indian fans in a heartfelt social media post.

Rohit Sharma was the centre of attraction during the T20 World Cup victory celebrations held yesterday across New Delhi and Mumbai. He walked out of the Delhi Airport with the ICC trophy before leading his team to meet the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

Shortly after, Rohit Sharma returned to his den, Mumbai, for a 2 km long victory parade. Despite a delay in schedule, fans swarmed Marine drive to celebrate the historic moment with the entire team.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma soaked in the surreal moment from the open bus before heading to Wankhede Stadium for another round of celebrations. He was awarded the 125 Cr prize money, and with a victory lap, the Indian team concluded the hours-long celebratory run.

That being said, Rohit Sharma used his social media to dedicate the World Cup victory to the fans who have had the team's back since day 1. In a heartfelt post, the captain shared pictures from the victory parade and thanked the crowd for immeasurable support and love.

Needless to say, Rohit Sharma's life came full circle at Mumbai yesterday. At the age of 37, he achieved his biggest dream that too as a captain. There is no bigger feeling than this, and Rohit understands that more than anyone.

However, it's time for Rohit Sharma to move on from T20 internationals as he and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from the format on the day of the final itself.
