In a hilarious incident, experienced Indian seamer Jasprit Bumrah burst into laughter when all-rounder Hardik Pandya accidentally caught a fan's shirt during India's T20 World Cup success celebrations at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. 

On Thursday, Rohit Sharma-led India received a grand welcome on their arrival on home soil following a victorious T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. 

After meeting India's honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the players flew to Mumbai, where they participated in a victory parade before being felicitated in front of a packed Wankhede crowd.

After BCCI secretary Jay Shah rewarded INR 125 crores to the Indian team, the players thanked the Wankhede crowd during their victory lap. 

However, a hilarious incident unfolded when a fan threw his shirt towards Hardik Pandya, who had opened his arms in jubilation. 

Accidentally, the shirt landed on Pandya's right hand, following which Bumrah and Axar Patel shared a laugh.

Bumrah and Pandya were instrumental in India's memorable T20 World Cup campaign. Bumrah, who scalped 15 wickets, won the Player of the Tournament award, while Pandya exhibited his all-round brilliance to contribute handily with bat and ball. 

Their phenomenal performance in the final helped India pip the Proteas and clinch their second T20 World Cup trophy.
