The 20th game of PSL 2022 will see hosts Lahore Qalandars square off against Quetta Gladiators at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday evening (February 13).

Having stitched four victories in six outings, the Qalandars are sitting pretty at the second spot in the points table. However, one of them two defeats in the competition have come against the opponent they will face on Sunday- Quetta Gladiators.

Lahore's star-studded bowling attack once again proved to be their Achilles heel in their previous encounter with the Gladiators, failing to defend a 200+ total for the second time in the season.

Quetta's first win was set-up by England opener Jason Roy, who walloped a thunderous ton, to make a mockery of the target of 205.

However, the Qalandars' bowling-unit scripted a fine redemption in their previous outing against defending champions Multan Sultans, handing Mohammad Rizwan's team their first defeat of the season.

Skipper Shaheen (2/26 in 4 overs) and Rashid Khan (2/33 in 4 overs) set the tone with early scalps while Haris Rauf (2/20 in 4 overs) and Zaman Khan (3/21 in 3.3 overs) backed it up with equally impressive performances.

Earlier, Fakhar Zaman continued his blazing form as he smashed yet another 50 (60 off 37 deliveries) and he was well backed up by the trio of Mohammad Hafeez, Philip Salt and Kamran Ghulam.

Quetta, meanwhile, will look to make it two-in-two against Lahore in the second leg and the likes of Jason Roy, Ahsan Ali will be extremely crucial to their fortunes. They will be without all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz, who has been ruled out of the competition due to injury.

In their last fixture against Islamabad United, Quetta produced an all-round performance and were the victorious side. They’ll be oozing with confidence at the moment.
