In a significant development, Karachi Kings' pacer Aamir Jamal has been fined 5 percent of his match fee for committing Level 1 breach of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Code of Conduct on Monday.

The incident occurred in the 15th over of the first innings when Aamir Jamal, after dismissing Hussain Talat, approached him and made a remark that was deemed provocative.
It is important to note that sanction was imposed by match referee Iftikhar Ahmed. The on-field umpires for the match, Faisal Khan Afridi and Paul Reiffel, reported the incident.
The act was found to be in violation of Article 2.5 of the PSL Code of Conduct, which pertains to: "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during a match."
The fine is in accordance with the rules for Level 1 breaches, which carry a minimum penalty of an official warning and a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of the match fee.
