PAK vs WI | Pakistan players are professionals and don't care about weather: Saqlain Mushtaq

The heatwave across the Indian subcontinent has cropped up problems for administrators. Due to the heatwave, the upcoming three-match ODI series was rescheduled. As a result, the start of play time has changed from noon to late in the evening.

Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq has said that these conditions should not worry players as they are all professionals, and it is part and parcel of the game.

According to Geo Super, Mushtaq said, "I think professional players don't care about weather conditions. Our players are professional, and the weather doesn't haunt them at all.

Our players are preparing hard for the series. We have planned alternatives of recovery during this weather."

West Indies landed on Monday morning in Pakistan from Amstelveen after clean sweeping hosts' Netherlands in a 3-match ODI series. Speaking about the series, the former Pakistan leg-spinner sounded confident.

"In home series, there is no other option to win all the matches. Our target is to win all three matches," said the 45-year-old.

He also spoke about all-rounder Hasan Ali, who has been having a rough time since the ICC T20 World Cup in UAE last year.

"Hasan is a match-winner. Form is temporary, but he has the potential to do well any day," concluded the inventor of 'Doosra'.

Ali has just returned from playing in the County Championship for Lancashire alongside James Anderson.

All matches of the ODI series will take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium situated in Multan on June 8, 10, and 12, respectively.

This series sees international cricket return to Multan after a gap of 14 years, which has hosted 7 ODIs and 5 Tests.
