Jude Coleman, Dan Marsh added to Australia women's coaching staff

The Australian Women's team has been undergoing a lot of changes ever since the departure of former coach Matthew Mott. Cricket Australia (CA), after appointing Shelley Nitschke as their interim coach, have added Jude Coleman and Dan Marsh to their coaching staff.

These appointments happened after assistant coach Ben Sawyer went over to handle the New Zealand Women's side.

Speaking of Coleman and Marsh, Ben Oliver, EGM of High Performance and National teams, stated that their experience will help Nitschke as their association with Australia A has been for a long time.

"It's great to have coaches of such high calibre in the Australian system who we can call upon like we have with Jude and Dan. Both have extensive coaching and playing experience and did a brilliant job with Australia A team earlier this year, so we know they'll be of great assistance to Shelley, Meg and the team over the coming months.

"We're excited for Ben and this new opportunity; he's been a key part of the success of our world champion women's team over a number of years and is ready for the challenge of leading an international program," said Oliver.

Coleman was an assistant coach with the South Australian Scorpions and the Adelaide Strikers in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), apart from being heavily involved with indoor cricket.

Marsh was the assistant coach of the Tasmania Women's team prior to his role. Under Marsh, Tasmania won their first-ever Sheffield Shield title win in 2006-07, taking over from Nitschke and Sawyer.

Marsh played 150 First-Class games representing South Australia, Tasmania, and Leicestershire in his career.

The pair had earlier worked together on the Australian A setup and will meet the squad in Brisbane for a coaching camp ahead of their tour to the UK and Ireland.
