India is set to lock horns against Bangladesh in the first T20I match of a three-game series  today (October 6) at Gwalior’s Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Stadium. As India prepares to face their opponents on home soil, the squad, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, went through an intense practice session on Saturday. 

The BCCI shared a behind-the-scenes video from the team’s practice session on Saturday, which showcased a determined and focused Indian squad.

Rinku Singh And Washington Sundar Show Their Skills In Net Practice

During practice session as seen in the clip, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma and Washington Sundar were among the players seen working hard in the nets. The duo focused on honing their batting techniques, with Sundar, known for his all-round capabilities, emphasised both his power-hitting and placement skills. 

Meanwhile, Rinku practised his strokeplay, and showcased the aggressive style that has impressed fans in the IPL and helped him earn his spot on the national side.

Suryakumar brought his unique charisma and positive energy to the practice session. He provided feedback to his teammates in his typical Mumbaikar style, which infused the practice with humour and camaraderie. 

With his distinct personality shining through, he described each shot with enthusiasm, using his trademark language to encourage his teammates, creating a lively atmosphere that kept spirits high. Earlier, under the guidance of fielding coach T. Dilip, the Indian team also emphasized fielding drills, with players practising high catches, ground fielding, and rapid throws. 

Suryakumar Yadav To Lead A Fresh Team

As the Indian team enters a new era, Suryakumar Yadav has stepped up as captain, aiming to bring his fearless batting style to the leadership role. 

Known for his dynamic shot-making and adaptability, his has consistently impressed on the international stage. With several senior players resting, the responsibility now falls on his shoulders to guide the younger players and build a cohesive unit.
