Mohammad Hasnain set to make County debut for Worcestershire

Pakistan paceman Mohammad Hasnain has reached England and will make his County debut this week for Worcestershire County Cricket Club (WCC). He is all set to play in the club's clash against Derbyshire, starting on July 25 at New Road.

Originally scheduled to debut against Middlesex on July 11, his arrival on English shores was delayed due to visa issues.

Hasnain will be the second Pakistan national to play for the club this season after Azhar Ali.

Regarding Hasnain's arrival, skipper Brett D'Oliveira said his inclusion would boost their bowling arsenal.

"Really looking forward to Mohammad joining up with us, a fresh face, an international cricketer, a guy who has got some raw pace. He is someone that Azhar (Ali) speaks really highly of, so I’m excited about that and what he can give us,” D’Oliveira told The Shuttle.

“It is a big thing in Division Two, having high pace, and will be a real asset to our bowling attack. Along with the other guys, it will be a challenge hopefully for the opposition batters. There is a lot to play for still. We have played a lot of good cricket in the Championship, and Mohammad will provide us with another ingredient,” he added.
