In a significant development, premier Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been signed by Lahore Qalandars for the remainder of PSL 2025. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has granted NOC to Mehidy, who will travel to Pakistan by Tuesday.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been one of the core players for Bangladesh across all formats of the game. Besides outfoxing the batters with his guile and variations, Mehidy's ability to play brisk knocks makes him a valuable asset in the shortest format. 

Reacting to his PSL stint with the Qalandars, Mehidy expressed his excitement while seeming confident of a stellar show in the tournament. 

"Of course it is exciting for me to join Lahore Qalandars. It is technically the second time I have got a call-up to a franchise league. Nonetheless, it is a good opportunity for me to compete at a very high level. PSL is one of the top tournaments going around. I have done well in the past in the BPL, so I am confident that I can give my best," Mehidy Hasan Miraz was quoted as saying by ESPN Cricinfo.

Hailed for his incredible all-round qualities, Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been a vital cog for Bangladesh across formats. Recently, the right-arm off-spinner enjoyed stellar success with the ball, ensuring Bangladesh's dramatic turnaround in the home Test series against Zimbabwe. 

The Tigers had a poor start to the series, with the visitors humbling them with a historic win in the first game. However, Mehidy's all-round brilliance powered them to a series-levelling win in the subsequent affair, eventually helping him bag the prestigious ICC player of the month award for April.
