Indian batsman-wicketkeeper, and currently the captain of Indian white ball team in Rohit Sharma’s absence - KL Rahul has moved up to the fourth position in the latest ICC T20I rankings.
The batsman played his last T20I against New Zealand in the home series after the T20 World Cup and scored 65 off 49 balls while chasing 154 runs. He was previously placed at 5.
Pakistan T20I captain Babar Azam is currently leading the table, despite being in horribly lean form in the last couple of months and he is followed by Mohammad Rizwan who was recently awarded the T20I player of the year.
Indian stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are unchanged at 10 and 11 respectively.
West Indies are amongst significant movers in the table after their nail biting 3-2 finish against England. While Akeal Hosein has jumped 15 spots Jason Holder has moved three.
The players are ranked 18th and 23rd respectively.
