PCB Refuse To Make Squad Changes For CT 2025: Reports
Amidst numerous calls from fans to make certain changes to Pakistan’s squad for the upcoming 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly refusing to make any change to its 15-player line-up, in spite of the approaching ICC deadline of February 11. Ever since the PCB announced Pakistan’s squad last month, several fans have complained over the presence of just one specialist opener in the team in the form of Fakhar Zaman. Moreover, fans also criticised over the selection of only one specialist spinner, while numerous cricket experts have expressed their disappointments over the selection of all-rounder Faheem Ashraf.
Haris Rauf Fit To Play Champions Trophy 2025
Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf is all set to make his return to the team in time for their opening match of the 2025 Champions Trophy against New Zealand on February 19. The speedster suffered a mild strain in the lower part of his chest during Pakistan’s tri-series opener against the ‘Black Caps’, prompting him to walk off the field without completing his 10-over spell.
However, as per the PCB press release, the team management will not be including Haris Rauf in Pakistan’s playing XI for their upcoming tri-series match against South Africa as a “precautionary measure”.
