Since his return from injury, Hardik Pandya has looked sharp in all departments. Besides delivering with the ball and bat in hand, the flamboyant all-rounder has led Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 by example. The Titans have won their first three tournament matches as they sit at the third position on the points table.
Hardik's performance has earned him praise from former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Lauding the all-rounder's leadership skills, Singh said, "He seems to be relishing his role as a captain and leading the team from the front."
Hardik has put all apprehensions about his bowling to rest by sharing the new ball. He has bowled with good rhythm and promoted himself in the batting order. According to Harbhajan, Hardik playing a vital role in all departments brings good news for the Indian Team.
"He's performing with the bat for Gujarat Titans and has also started bowling well, which are good signs for Team India as well."
While speaking on the 'Cricket Live' show on Star Sports, Harbhajan commented, "Look, he aims to make his India comeback and if he can start giving those five-six overs with the ball, then it will be a big positive for the national side because they'll need a player of his calibre in the T20 World Cup in Australia."
ICC T20 World Cup 2022 starts in October later this year. Venkatesh Iyer is currently performing Hardik's role in the team. The latter lacks Hardik's express space, which will come in handy Down Under.
The Indian cricket team requires a player of Hardik's skill in Australia, as mentioned by the Turbanator.
