Royal Challengers Bangalore will be keen to maintain their winning streak in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 when they take on the defending champion Chennai Super Kings in the 22nd match of the tournament at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai, on April 11.
After losing their opening clash against Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore went on to win their next three games and currently find themselves at the fourth spot of the points table with 6 points in their kitty.
They are coming off a seven-wicket victory over the five-time champions Mumbai Indians and are currently on a three-match winning streak.
Anuj Rawat's return in the form will be a massive boost for the men in red. Virat Kohli looked good with the bat, while Dinesh Karthik has stepped up and delivered whenever the team needed him the most. In addition, Glenn Maxwell's inclusion on the side has provided them with further stability.
Their bowlers have been impressive as well, barring Mohammad Siraj, who looked off-colour in the last three matches he played for RCB. Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga, Akash Deep and David Willey have been their best bowlers so far.
On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings is having a dismal season under their new captain Ravindra Jadeja. They have lost all the four matches they played in the tournament and are currently dwelling at the bottom of the points table.
They lost their previous game against SunRisers Hyderabad by eight wickets as none of their bowlers could manage to keep the Hyderabad batters on their backfoot. Nothing has gone in the Super Kings' favour so far.
The orange cap holder of IPL 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu are yet to make noise with the bat. Moeen Ali and Dwayne Bravo also looked ordinary in the last few games. Dwaine Pretorius, who performed well with the ball for CSK, was dropped in their previous match against Hyderabad.
However, they will be keen to get off the mark against a strong Royal Challengers Bangalore side led by Faf du Plessis. We are in for a cracking IPL 2022 game with two valuable points up for grabs.

Pitch Report
The pitch at Dr DY Patil Stadium offers a balanced surface. The quick bowlers are expected to get the new ball to swing early on, keeping the batters on their toes. However, the batters need to set their eyes before going for big shots. The spinners will come into play as the game progresses. Both teams will look to bat first after winning the toss, with 160-170 being a good total at the venue.
