IPL 2022 | KKR vs PBKS - Fantasy Tips

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be taking on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the eighth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The fans will be expecting to see another nail-biting contest. Before the game, let's take a look at the best players that could be picked for the fantasy teams for the match.

Untamed: These players will be the highest point fetchers on most of the days.

Umesh Yadav: The veteran Indian pacer has been breathing fire in IPL 2022 with the new ball. He has already picked up four wickets in two matches, and all those wickets have come in the powerplays. His average fantasy points per game this season is 70. Thus, he has gained ranks drastically from being an 'Imposter' and has made his place in the untamed category.

Shikhar Dhawan:  Dhawan has hit good form in the very first match of the tournament. He scored an impressive 60 fantasy points in Punjab's first match. This makes him a must pick as he looks in good touch and could give some valuable points.

Kagiso Rabada: Kagiso Rabada will return to the Punjab squad for the match against KKR. In IPL, he averages 20.5, which is excellent evidence of his wicket-taking abilities. He might be a bit expensive on certain days, but being the prolific wicket-taker, he will surely give points to the team.

Odean Smith: The architect of PBKS' stunning chase against Bangalore. It was just a small but crucial cameo of 25 from eighth deliveries, but he showed that he could wreak havoc on any bowling attack if he gets more time at the crease. Therefore, with the form, the Jamaican is in, he becomes an automatic choice. 

Shilly Shally: These are players whose forms keep fluctuating; hence expecting good returns from them every day can be risky.

Andre Russell: Dre Russ looked in good touch in Kolkata's match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. But was dismissed as he was beginning to look dangerous. This year he has an average of 34.5 fantasy points per game. His big day has not come yet but it looks like that day is just around the corner. The day when and if he plays long, the burly all-rounder can be the winning factor in the fantasy leagues. However, the inconsistency factor makes him a risky pick.

Liam Livingstone: Livingstone looked like he would take the match away from RCB in the PBKS' first match. But in an attempt to go big, he fell. But before going back, he had shown the potential of a match-winner in him. He might not hit good form every day, so pick him at your own risk.

Unhailed: They are players one needs to back as they will eat up fewer credit points but give consistent returns.

Ajinkya Rahane: Rahane looked in good touch in the season opener against Chennai. Although he didn't score much against RCB, it was a match where none of the KKR batters clicked. With an average of 41 points per game and costing just 8.5 credits, the KKR opener becomes a must pick.

Varun Chakravarthy:  Another player who could be a cheap and profitable option for fantasy players. In IPL 2022, he averages 37 points per game and costs just 8.5 credits. So if one is looking for daily returns at a low cost, Chakravarthy is a must pick.

Sharukh Khan: Shahrukh Khan showed in the last match that he could keep his calm and play second fiddle if the situation demanded the same from him. He returned with 41 points in the previous game. So, he might be someone who could give valuable points. 

Stealthy Warriors: These players are not so common names in the IPL. Hence picking them might give one an advantage over their competitors.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa: He played a gem of an innings against RCB in the first match and laid the foundation of the successful chase. He scored 67 fantasy points in the game. But whether he was a one-match wonder or not is subject to his further performances. But with the form he is in, one can back him.

Raj Bawa: Yes, he got out for 0 in the first match. But his potentials are endless. He has proved his worth as an all-rounder in the Under-19 World Cup. So, he is worth a risk for one more game.

Imposters: Players who are currently not at their best and are expected to give negative points. 

Shivam Mavi: He did not look comfortable in the Knights' role for him. If he plays this fixture with a return of just 4 points from one game, he is an imposter for this match.

Harpreet Brar: In Punjab's first match, he was thrashed for 38 runs from three overs. His return in the game was -2 points. Meaning, for the day, keep away from him, especially if you are a small league or head-to-head player.
