The members of the Indian team on the tour of England have gone through the first round of Covid-19 testing as per a Cricbuzz report.
The report further suggested that all the family members who have accompanied the players will have also gone through the RT PCR testing and that they will have to undergo multiple more rounds of testing in the coming few days leading up to their stay in Durham.
As per the report, members of the India touring party will not have to live in a bio-secure bubble in Durham albeit the Covid-19 has caused a lot of trouble in England cricket in recent days.
The latest round of testing has happened just a few days after the players and support staff go the second dose of the vaccine. Notably, all members of the touring party were inoculated with the Covishield vaccine in India and they were to take the second dose in the UK.
The team has been on a three-week-long break after the conclusion of the World Test Championship final against India. Now, they will head to Durham where they will play intra-squad matches and a three-day game against a select county team reportedly from July 20.
The first Test between India and England will start on August 04 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
