In a remarkable achievement, experienced Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya has claimed the top position in the updated ICC men's rankings for allrounders.

The seam bowling allrounder, who played a pivotal role in India's triumphant T20 World Cup 2024 campaign, has joined Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga at the top of the list.

Pandya's clinical performance takes him to the top

Pandya brought his A-game with the bat in the World Cup, amassing 144 runs, including a valiant half-century against Bangladesh.

He was even more influential with the ball, scalping eleven wickets in eight innings at an impressive strike rate of 13.64. His tremendous outing helped him rise two places up and become the first Indian to top the all-rounder's rankings.

Meanwhile, Axar Patel, who played a match-winning knock in the T20 World Cup final, has moved seven places up to number 12 on the allrounders' list.

Bumrah rises, Rashid retains top position in bowlers' rankings

Among other notable changes, Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah moved twelve places up to number 12, his best position since 2020.

Meanwhile, Anrich Nortje, who was clinical with the ball for South Africa, has claimed his career-best second position, with Adil Rashid leading the charts.

Kuldeep Yadav and Arshdeep Singh have also improved their ranks, moving up to number nine and thirteen, respectively.
