Gujarat Titans blanked Delhi Capitals by 10 wickets in a one-sided chase at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in match 60 of the IPL 2025 season. Chasing 200 for a win, Titans opener Sai Sudharsan plundered 108* runs from just 61 balls, while his captain and senior opening partner Shubman Gill smoked an unbeaten 93 off 53 with three fours and seven huge sixes.
With Gujarat Titans now catapulting themselves to the top of the IPL 2025 points table, the franchise also claimed a huge T20 record, previously held only by the Pakistan cricket team.
Titans, Pakistan share this staggering T20 record
Gujarat Titans became only the second team in men’s T20 history to chase down a target of 200 or more without losing a single wicket, doing so by outclassing Delhi Capitals in Delhi on May 18.
Partners-in-crime Sai Sudharsan (108*) and Shubman Gill (93*) unleashed hell on Capitals bowlers as the Titans chased down its 200-run target with an over and all 10 wickets intact.
Previously, the Pakistan cricket team pulled off a 200-run heist against England at Karachi’s National Stadium in the second T20I of the seven-match series back in September 2022.
Then Pakistani skipper Babar Azam top-scored in the game with 110* regal runs from just 66 deliveries, while his partner Mohammad Rizwan ransacked the visiting Englishmen with 88* runs off 51 balls.
Gujarat Titans’ Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill also joined an elite league of opening pairs to have notched up the second highest number of fifty-plus stands in a single IPL season.
With seven fifty-plus partnerships as openers in IPL 2025, the Sudharsan-Gill pair has joined the likes of Jonny Bairstow and David Warner, Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Gujarat Titans will now face LSG in match 64 of the IPL 2025 season on Thursday, May 22 in Ahmedabad.
