In a touching moment at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Indians (MI) owner Nita Ambani was seen consoling Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan after MI defeated SRH by four wickets in the 33rd match of the IPL 2025 season.

Ishan Kishan, who spent seven seasons with the Mumbai-based franchise before being released ahead of this season, reunited with Nita Ambani. The emotional exchange between the two saw Nita gently pat Ishan Kishan’s cheek. Both were seen smiling and sharing a warm moment with each other. Watch the video here: 

The left-handed batter, who was picked by SRH for a hefty INR 11 crores during the mega auction, started the season with a bang scoring a century against Rajasthan Royals. However, since then he has struggled to maintain consistency. 

MI vs SRH Quick Match Recap

The standout performer of the match between MI vs SRH was all-rounder Will Jacks, who delivered a match-winning performance both with the bat and ball. Brought into the attack after Karn Sharma suffered an injury, he picked up two crucial wickets while conceding just 14 runs in three overs. Later, his quick-fire 36 with the bat helped MI chase down SRH’s total of 162 with ease. 

How Can MI Still Qualify For The Playoffs? 

MI registered a much-needed win-only their third of the season which keeps their playoff hopes alive. With six points from seven matches, MI will need at least five wins from their remaining seven games to secure a playoff spot without relying on other results.
