“Quality practice, good intensity” seems to be the mantra for the Men in Blue as they have hit the ground running for a three-match long Test series followed by an equally longer ODI series.
They are not given the opportunity to play any practice match before the first Test scheduled to start on December 26 and hence batsmen are finetuning their batting on pitches with a lot of grass and offering a lot of bounce to simulate actual match conditions.
Before embarking on the tour, the skipper Virat Kohli had highlighted the importance of centre wicket practice in preparation for the Test series and the newcomer in the Test squad, Shreyas Iyer confirmed the mode of their preparation for the big Test series.
