India's stalwart Virat Kohli shares a strong bond with Pakistani cricketers, often captured on camera, especially in recent years, including during the 2023 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. As this year's ODI World Cup takes place in India, all participating teams, including Pakistan, have arrived for the tournament.

The teams landed at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday, September 27, greeted by enthusiastic local fans eager to catch a glimpse of the cricket stars from across the border.

Pakistan's team, after a lengthy nine-hour layover in Dubai, departed from Lahore early Wednesday and arrived in Hyderabad late that night.

Upon their arrival, pictures of the team went viral on social media. A post claiming that Virat Kohli welcomed the Pakistan cricket team to India for the Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 and planned to host a house party for them at his home also circulated on social media. The post came from an account with the username @amiVkohli, which was thought to be Virat Kohli's official account.

“I warmly welcome the Pakistan Cricket Team on their arrival in my country after a long time period of 7 years, I will host a party for my friends, especially for Shadab at my house Love you all, always spread love and joy,” the viral Tweet reads.

The tweet from September 27 generated significant attention on social media. However, it's important to clarify that this account is not the real or official Virat Kohli account.

The fake account had a bio and profile picture identical to Virat Kohli's official account, leading some fans to believe it was genuine. It's crucial to note that Kohli has not posted anything like this for the Pakistan team, and such actions are generally not possible as players are usually restricted within the team's secure bubble, with limited movement to predetermined locations.

The big-ticket clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14.

The showdown between the two Asian Giants is expected to be the highlight of the World Cup, given the intense rivalry between the two nations. This anticipation has grown, particularly after India's dominant 220-run victory over their arch-rivals in the Asia Cup Super 4 fixture.
