The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won their first Indian Premier League (IPL) title in the 2025 edition, but their happiness lasted for just one day, as one lapse of concentration and mismanagement led to mass chaos. A day after winning the title, RCB held a victory celebration inside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, but it turned out to be a disaster.

At least 11 people died, and 50 people got injured as there was a stampede situation outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, and what was supposed to be a victory celebration turned into a tragedy. As per a report by Deccan Herald, the Chinnaswamy Stadium has been deemed unfit to host future IPL games, and in that case, RCB may have to find a new home venue.

Here are 3 potential new venues for RCB to play their home matches in IPL 2026.

1) MCA Stadium, Pune

The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune, has not hosted an IPL game for a long time, and it could turn out to be a perfect venue for RCB to make it their new home. The franchise has a huge fan base, and the stadium has a capacity of 42,700, and should make up for a grand RCB home ground.

Previously, it served as a home ground for the IPL side, Rising Pune Supergiant, and historically, the venue is known as a high-scoring surface, something which the hard-hitting RCB batters would love to have.

2) HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala

The Dharamsala Stadium is often used as a second alternative by teams in the IPL. In the 2025 edition of the IPL, the Stadium was occupied by the Punjab Kings, as the side played a few games here. It is one of the newest cricket grounds in India, and has all the modern facilities. Just like MCA, it is a high-scoring venue, and with RCB's strength being their batting, the venue could play in their hands for the upcoming season.

Also, unlike Chinnaswamy, the surface has something for the fast bowlers, where the likes of Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar could come into play.

3) Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur

While teams often use Dharamsala as their second home ground, for some reason, they ignore the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. The venue hosts Test matches regularly and has all the facilities to host an IPL match.

A high-scoring ground, the Nagpur Stadium offers plenty of runs, and with the capacity of 45,000, the RCB fans can gather in large numbers to support their players.
