Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi has been rewarded with a lucrative gift by the franchise amidst the ongoing PSL 2025 season. While the Karachi Kings franchise handed out a hairdryer and a hair trimmer to James Vince and Hasan Ali respectively earlier this competition, the Qalandars franchise gifted captain Shaheen a custom 24K Gold-plated IPhone 16 Pro.
The Lahore Qalandars confirmed the same on Sunday, April 20, i.e., a few days after the speedster delivered a match-winning spell of 3-34 against Karachi Kings in Karachi.

On Sunday, April 20, the Lahore Qalandars franchise shared a minute-and-a-half long video on their social media accounts. The video in contention, features captain Shaheen Afridi receiving a surprise custom 24K Gold-plated IPhone 16 Pro from the team management.

Afridi graciously accepted the gift, and visibly expressed his excitement over the Lahore Qalandars’ gesture.
Under the leadership of Shaheen Afridi, the Lahore Qalandars franchise has secured two wins, both in succession, off their three matches so far this PSL 2025 season. After losing the opening match of the tournament to defending champions Islamabad United by eight wickets, the Qalandars crushed Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings by 79 runs and 65 runs respectively.
Currently placed number two on the PSL 2025 points table, the NRR of the Lahore Qalandars franchise reads a formidable 2.051. Captain Shaheen himself contributed with figures of 2-6 and 3-34 in both wins, to have collected five wickets in three innings of the season.
The Lahore Qalandars will now face Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans in match 12 of the PSL 2025 season at the Multan Cricket Stadium on April 22.
