Suyash Sharma played for KKR in IPL 2023 and 2024, and was bought for only 20 Lakhs by the Kolkata-based franchise. He picked 10 wickets for them in 13 matches, and showed glimpses of his talent for the franchise. 

Suyash Sharma Gets Big Hike For His Move From KKR To RCB

The Delhi-lad attracted lot of attention in the IPL 2025 auction as many franchise bidded for him, but in the end it was RCB who grabbed the leggie for 2.60 Crore. He did not pick wickets after the first game in IPL 2025, but now has grabbed two crucial wickets against Punjab Kings to put RCB in a strong position.

Thus, the bowler looks determined to prove his worth. The salary increase from 20 Lakhs to 2.60 Crore helped him gain a hike of 1200 percent, a increment that speaks volume of how much he is valued by RCB.

Suyash Sharma's hike of 1200 percent was due to couple of factors. The first factor was Suyash's past performances in IPL, and and then impressed in DPL 2024 with 11 wickets in 10 matches. He took wickets at a strike-rate of just 18.00, and though he has not picked wickets at regular intervals, this season, he is likely to play bigger role as the season progresses.

Another factor for Suyash Sharma's massive hike is that RCB needed a spinner. As most of the quality international spinners were already booked by other franchises, RCB needed to go for an uncapped spinner and than played a role in his price hike.
