The 61st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 features the Lucknow Super Giants up against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. The match holds utmost importance for the Super Giants as they are still in playoff race. Meanwhile, SRH will look to play the role of a party spoiler.

The two teams will play in a riveting battle but there are several overseas stars, who mihht not get game time, either due to injuries or illness or due to team combinations. Here are 3 such players from both the teams.

1) Travis Head

SRH, even though are out of the IPL playoff race, had to play the last three matches to salvage some pride, but they will miss their star opener, Travis Head, who suffered from Covid-19 and will arrive in India today. Most likely he will play the next match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Their famed batting lineup failed massively this season with the likes of Head, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan not living upto the standards. However, Head is always a threat for the opposition and his absence will be a sigh of relief for LSG side.

2) Will O'Rourke

The replacement for injured Mayank Yadav might not get a game tonight and it is not due to his bowling abilities, but due to the combinations which LSG plays with.

The LSG side has preferred a batting heavy team this season with the likes of Marsh and Pooran dominating the proceedings. If O'Rourke is brought into the playing XI, then one of the batters from the team will have to be sacrificed and it could potentially disrupt their batting which has already come under scrutiny due to Rishabh Pant's horrendous form. Hence, O'Rourke might have to wait for his opportunity this season.

3) Wiaan Mulder

The South African all-rounder has not played a single game for the Sunrisers this season and is unlikely to get a game anytime soon. SRH are already out of the IPL and they could put Mulder in the playing XI.

However, the likes of Pat Cummins, Heinrich Klaasen and Eshan Malinga will occupy the three overseas slots and with no Travis Head, Kamindu Mendis is likely going to be the fourth overseas star. Hence, Mulder, who will leave IPL after the league stage might not get a single game.
