The Big Bash League has picked up the pace as teams are fighting it out for the coveted trophy. On Thursday, the 5th match of the league took place between the Hobart Hurricanes and the Melbourne Renegades at the Simonds Stadium.

In the match which just concluded, several IPL stars participated and while some performed brilliant in the contest, the others failed to deliver the goods on the big stage. In this piece, we'll talk about 3 such stars who flopped in the Renagades Vs the Hurricanes contest.

3) Tim David

Playing for Hurricanes, a lot was expected of the RCB star, Tim David, but the explosive batter had a poor outing against the Renegades.

Coming in at number 6, David had the task to bail his side out of a precaious situation, but the inconsistent batter failed to deliver and was dismissed for a 2-ball duck as he looked clueless in his mini stay at the crease.

2) Jacob Bethell

Another RCB player which enters the list is Jacob Bethell. He had an outstanding Test series against the Kiwis, and was expected to perform for the Renegades, however, just like his RCB teammate, David, he couldn't do much.

The Melbourne team needed a paltry 75 to win and Bethell couldn't finish off the match as he was sent back for just 3 off 6 balls.

1) Jake Fraser-McGurk

Back-to-back failures have casted doubt on Jake Fraser-McGurk's form. He failed in the opening match for the Renegades, and once again went back to the pavilion early as he was knocked over by Billy Stanlake for just 5 off 5.

He started off the innings with a boundary, but couldn't go on and play the big knock as Stanlake castled his stumps to dismiss the dangerous Delhi Capitals opener.
