In the upcoming 19th match of the WPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women will be determined to secure their first ever victory against Mumbai Indians Women in the history of the league at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, March 12.

Despite facing defeat in their previous three encounters against MI Women, the Smriti Mandhana’s RCB will be eager to break their losing streak and register a win against their rivals. Conversely, Mumbai Indians Women are eyeing another win to extend their winning streak over RCB Women.

Although RCB Women have suffered losses in four of their last five matches, they came agonizingly close to turning the tide in their last outing against Delhi Capitals Women, losing by just one run.

Shreyanka Patil was brilliant with the ball, returning with figures of 4/26, while Ellyse Perry (49) and Richa Ghosh (51) contributed significantly with the bat, falling just short of victory.

This resilient performance served as a morale boost for RCB Women following their demoralizing defeat to Gujarat Giants Women. With emotions running high after the nail-biting encounter against Delhi Capitals Women, the players must channelise this energy to outshine a formidable opponent like the Mumbai Indians.

Despite the narrow defeat in the last game, RCB Women have little reason to dwell on their shortcomings, as they performed well. Therefore, there is minimal inclination to alter the playing combination for the upcoming match.

In a slight tweak to the batting order in the previous game, Sophie Molineux partnered skipper Smriti Mandhana as the opening pair. Whether Molineux continues to open with Mandhana or Sophie Devine steps up remains to be seen. Ellyse Perry, Devine, and Richa Ghosh made notable contributions in the last match. Despite being wicketless, Shraddha Pokharkar and Renuka Singh are likely to retain their positions in the lineup.

Predicted Playing XI for Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Smriti Mandhana (c), Sophie Molineux, Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Richa Ghosh (wk), Georgia Wareham, Disha Kasat, Shreyanka Patil, Asha Sobhana, Shraddha Pokharkar, Renuka Singh.
