On Tuesday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants in match 15 of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. 

Led by Faf du Plessis, RCB have blown hot and cold in the competition, occupying the ninth position in the standings with a solitary win in three appearances. 

On the other hand, the Super Giants made a remarkable comeback following their heartbreaking defeat against Rajasthan Royals, outclassing Punjab Kings in their second group-stage fixture. 

Regarding RCB, the Red Brigade had a disastrous start to the season, losing the tournament opener by six wickets against the defending Champions, Chennai Super Kings. 

Although they secured a clinical win against Punjab Kings, the Kolkata Knight Riders thumped them by seven wickets, shattering their confidence. 

Barring poor form of Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis, RCB have been marred by Rajat Patidar's prolonged rough patch. 

The right-handed batter, who recently made his Test debut for India, has been horrendous with the bat in the IPL 2024, managing only 21 runs in three outings. 

Considering Cameron Green performed decently at number three, RCB might replace Patidar with Mahipal Lomror, who can provide them with the much-needed impetus, something they have been missing in the middle overs. 

Also, Alzarri Joseph, who bagged a whopping 11.5 Cr deal in the IPL mini-auction, has let the team down, averaging 115 with the ball at a horrible economy of 11.90. 

Given their struggle to scalp wickets in the powerplay, RCB might replace Joseph with Reece Topley, who is known for his ability to make the new ball talk. 

If Topley comes in as the left-arm seamer, RCB might bring Vyshak Vijaykumar to play the third seamer's role, as he was impressive in the last game against KKR.
