Amid the IPL fever, the BCCI is looking for several changes within the Indian managerial set-up. There were reports that the apex cricketing body of India has parted ways with assistant coach Abhishek Nayar as fielding coach T Dilip.

The news, first reported by Cricinfo, was that owing to the team's poor performance in the BGT, the BCCI has sacked Abhishek Nayar. Meanwhile, the board hasn't renewed T Dilip's contract, who joined the side three years ago.

Now with two vacant positions, the fans are contemplating who can be the new fielding coach for the Men in Blue as Dilip had raised the bar with his 'medal ceremony'. Meanwhile, this article will shed light on three potential replacements for T Dilip as India's fielding coach.

1. Jonty Rhodes

Jonty needs no introduction as the former South Africa star will go down in history as one of the finest fielders to grace the game. It is worth noting that when Gautam Gambhir was roped as India's head coach, he had asked for Jonty Rhodes to be the new fielding coach.

However, the board had declined that request and now the BCCI might look to rectify their mistake and hire the South Africa legend as India's new fielding coach.

Rhodes has a big experience in the coaching set-up as he has served as the fielding coach of several IPL franchises including Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants.

2 . Mohammed Kaif

One more contender that the BCCI should look for in the vacant fielding coach role is Mohammed Kaif. The former India batter was a live wire in the field and his valuable inputs would enhance the fielding standard in the country.

Further, a few years ago, Kaif had also shown interest to join the Indian set-up as fielding coach. Talking about his experience in coaching, then Kaif was the Gujarat Lions fielding coach in 2017.

3. Ryan Ten Doeschate

One more possibility given the current scenario is that BCCI might ask Ryan Ten Doeschate, who is currently the assistant coach, to act as the new fielding coach.

Ryan had also worked with Gambhir at KKR, where he was the fielding coach and now since he is already in the coaching set-up in the Indian team, the BCCI might just shuffle some portfolios.
