India Women are set to face Pakistan Women in the 7th match of the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 at the Dubai International Stadium on October 6. Both teams have played one match each so far, with contrasting results.

Fatima Sana's Pakistan began their campaign with a victory in a low-scoring thriller against Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka. Batting first, Pakistan set a below-par target of 117 runs. However, Sri Lanka side failed to chase and fell short by 31 runs, securing Pakistan a second-place spot on the Women's T20 World Cup points table with two points from one game.

On the other hand, India faced a tough start. In their opening match against New Zealand they lost the match by a significant margin of 58 runs. Chasing a target of 161, India struggled under pressure and collapsed to 102 all out in 19 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur’s team now finds themselves in a challenging position, needing not only to beat their arch-rivals Pakistan but also to secure a convincing win to revive their campaign.
