India and New Zealand are all set to lock horns at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in the opening Test of the three-match Test series. The Test is scheduled to start on October 16th, and it would be interesting to see how the Kiwis tackle India's might in this series. India is currently at the top of the WTC table and is coming into this series on the back of a 2-0 series win against Bangladesh.

New Zealand, on the other hand, lost both the Test matches in Sri Lanka and have a new captain in the form of Tom Latham. He would be itching to get the house in order, but New Zealand last won a Test in India in 1988 and it is going to be a tough task for the BlackCaps. So, ahead of the opening Test, let's see what the head-to-head record between the two sides looks like.

IND vs NZ Head To Head Record In Test Cricket

India and New Zealand have played 62 Tests against each other with India winning 22 and New Zealand winning 13 of those. 27 Test matches have been drawn, but off late, Test matches have produced results and so we can expect all the three matches in this series to deliver an outcome unless rain plays a spoilsport.

In India, New Zealand have won just two Test matches and as said before, the last win came 36 years earlier, which shows how much the Kiwis have struggled on the Indian soil. India have won 17 Tests out of the 36 played between the two sides at home while 17 Tests have been drawn as well.

In the last Test series between the two sides in 2021, India won the two-match Test series by a 1-0 margin. It was quite an enthralling series, and the same can be expected from this series as well.
