Tonight, Peshawar Zalmi will lock horns with Multan Sultans in the 9th T20 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League season. Led by Babar Azam, Peshawar Zalmi have had a poor campaign, losing both games so far in the tournament. 

Considering their mediocre returns in two consecutive games, the Zalmi might make some changes in their playing XI for this encounter, as mentioned below.

How Many More Chances For Tom Kohler-Cadmore?

Tom Kohler-Cadmore hasn't been at his best in the Zalmi colours for quite a while now. The experienced English batter had a horrible season last year, managing only 121 runs at an average of 15.12 and a mediocre strike rate of 110. 

He has registered two back-to-back shambolic outings, scoring only eight runs across two innings this year. So, considering his persistent struggle for runs, the Zalmi should replace him with someone like Najibullah Zadran. 

Although they always prefer Kohler-Cadmore, this strategic swap might bolster their middle order, which has looked vulnerable in the tournament so far. 

Will Mohammad Ali Be Replaced?

Pakistan's seasoned fast bowler Mohammad Ali has been pretty poor with the ball in the PSL 2025. The right-arm pacer has gone wicketless in two successive games while conceding 108 runs in eight overs. 

Although, Mohammad Ali had a prolific PSL season last year, his lack of pace and wicket-taking ability have frustrated the Zalmi this season. So, given that he has struggled to get going, Peshawar Zalmi team management might consider replacing him with Ihsanullah. 

In 14 PSL matches for Multan Sultans, Ihsanullah has bagged 23 wickets at an average of 16.08 and a strike rate of 12.78. 

The rest of Peshawar Zalmi's lineup is expected to be same as the previous game, with Babar, Saim, Haris, Alzarri Joseph and Mitchell Owen expected to play key roles.
