How Can South Africa Qualify For WTC Finals?
It is worth noting that the Temba Bavuma-led side have kept a foot in the finals and require just a win from their remaining two matches in this cycle. South Africa will next host Pakistan for two Test games, and if they win one, they will qualify, and with two wins, they will certainly finish as WTC table toppers.
They now face a tough challenge from India and Australia, who are also eyeing a place in the finals. Australia are currently second with 60.71 PCT. They play the next three matches against India as the BGT is levelled at 1-1.
It is a fierce battle between the two teams, and this article will look at how India can join South Africa for another ICC final.
How Can India Qualify For WTC Final?
The first and simplest math is for India to win all three remaining Test matches and overtake Australia in the 2nd spot. In case, India lose the third Test, then they need to rely on other teams to do the job for them.
If India lose another Test and win the series 3-2, then they need to hope for Sri Lanka to win at least one match in their upcoming series against Australia. Notably, the Aussies will play a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka in the Asian country.
However, if India go onto lose two more games then they would crash out of the race to qualify for the finals of WTC.
