3 IPL Teams Happy With Their Players' Performances In Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25

The Indian team is currently touring Australia for a five-match Test series. The series is currently three matches old and stands level at 1-1. While some of the players have not played up to the expectations, some players have put on a brilliant and consistent show.

The IPL teams will be keeping an eye on the players from their franchises who are playing in this series. So, here are three franchises who will take heart from the performance of their players in the series so far.

3. Rajasthan Royals

The Rajasthan Royals will take heart from the way Yashasvi Jaiswal has performed in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The young Indian batter scored a brilliant century in the first Test of the series. Even though, he has not fired big after that Jaiswal has looked good in the middle whenever he has come to bat.

Mitchell Starc has troubled him with the full delivery around the middle and leg stump line in each of the games so far. The last time he walked out to bat in the second innings of the third Test, Jaiswal looked to have find out a solution to this problem and was looking effective in the short time he spent in the middle.

2. Delhi Capitals

The Delhi Capitals will be one of the happier teams with the performance. They have not only one but two players who have performed in the BGT 2024-25. 

KL Rahul has scored 235 runs in 6 innings in the ongoing series. His average is currently 47 in the series. The form of the Indian batter will encourage the Capitals as they plan for the upcoming edition of the tournament.

Besides Rahul, the other player performing from the Delhi Capitals is Mitchell Starc. The Australian bowler has been in a great form. In three matches, Starc has picked up 14 wickets and he averages just 22.85. The Capitals will be hoping that when the IPL 2025 arrives, the Aussie pacer continues this golden form of his and provides them with regular wickets at the start of most matches. 

1. Sunrisers Hyderabad

The Sunrisers Hyderabad showed a changed attitude during IPL 2024. They looked a different side and they did brilliantly in the tournament to reach the summit clash. There were a few players who played a major role in this turn around of the team. The team management will be happy with the performance of three players in this series. 

Travis Head has been the most standout performer in the series. The left-handed batter has scored 409 runs in three matches at an average of 81.80. The middle-order batter is having a golden time and is batting with a completely different attitude. SRH will be happy with how their opener is performing and will expect to him continue this brilliant run till the IPL 2025.

Pat Cummins is one of the top three wicket-takers in the BGT 2024-25.  The Aussie skipper has picked up 14 wickets in three matches and has brilliantly maintained his knack for picking up wickets in important stages. SRH will not only be happy with the way Cummins is bowling but also enjoy the way he is tactically leading the team. 

Nitish Reddy has been a revelation for the Indian team in the BGT 2024-25. Making his debut in the series he has taken to international cricket like a fish takes to water. The young Indian all-rounder has scored 179 runs in 5 innings and has picked up 3 wickets in three matches. Beyond the numbers, it is the temperament of the player that has impressed everybody. SRH will be happy with the way Reddy is making all-round contributions and will hope for him to continue the same during the upcoming edition of the tournament.
