'We Talked With Rohit and Kohli..', Nepal's Rohit Paudel Speaks His Heart Out

On Monday, Nepal created history when they clashed against India for the first time in international cricket across any format. Nepal, who now have been knocked out of their maiden Asia Cup competition, were handed a 10-wicket thrashing against neighbors India last evening in a Group A encounter. 

Skipper Rohit Paudel in the post-match presser revealed how the Nepal player met with Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli after the conclusion of the match. 

As quoted by ANI, Paudel said that both players spoke about their experiences and it will benefit Nepal moving forward.


Here's what Paudel said

"We talked with Rohit and Virat and they gave lots of advice to us and this will be very useful for us." 

The 21-year-old leader further expressed satisfaction over Nepal's outing against India, managing 230 runs despite several rain breaks. Interestingly, Paudel did speak about being disappointed over Nepal not being able to bowl against Kohli, while explaining the difference between India and Pakistan, respectively. 

Earlier, Pakistan defeated Nepal by a mammoth 238-run margin in Multan.

"We did not get the opportunity to ball against Virat as both openers batted till last. It mostly depends upon the condition, when we played against Pakistan, I thought it was most favourable for the medium pacer and we took the opportunity from that. Today's condition was more challenging because of dew as the ball was not gripping. But the credit goes to Shubman and Rohit bhai, the way they batted."

Meanwhile, social media is flooded with photos and videos of Nepal and Indian players interacting with each other after the match.
