In a thrilling start to the IPL 2024 season, 22-year-old Riyan Parag showcased his resilience and talent as he steered Rajasthan Royals(RR) to victory against Lucknow Super Giants(LSG) this Sunday in Jaipur.

Despite facing criticism and scrutiny in his IPL career, Parag's match-winning contribution of 43 runs off just 29 balls spoke volumes about his potential.

Here's what Riyan Parag said:

"I have learned this the hard way. The only opinion that matters is of myself. Everything else is just loud noise. It's tough to support someone like me. I am a different character, I do things differently."

With Rajasthan Royals showing faith in him by retaining him in the team, Parag embraced the opportunity to bat at No. 4, a move that paid off handsomely.

Reflecting on his mindset, he emphasized,

"I couldn't care less, if I think I am happy in my mind, if I think I've prepared well and given myself the best shot to go out there and perform, I am happy."

"There are a lot of opinions about me, a lot of chat about me. But when I play domestic cricket, I don't listen to them... No matter who says what, If I don't truly believe in it, I don't think that matters," he affirmed.

Parag displayed composure and aggression in his scintillating innings against Lucknow Super Giants, hitting a boundary and three sixes to propel Rajasthan Royals to a formidable total. His partnership with captain Sanju Samson proved pivotal in securing the victory.

As Rajasthan Royals gear up to face Delhi Capitals(DC) in their upcoming match in Jaipur on Thursday, March 28, fans eagerly anticipate another stellar performance from Riyan Parag.
