Legendary Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has been posting cryptic motivational posts on his Instagram stories for some time now.

On Wednesday, the former skipper posted yet another quote, this time on the difference between faith and trust, leaving his fans once again in a tizzy.

"The mind lives in doubt. The heart lives in trust. Trust is the bridge that leads to freedom from the ego-mind," the message read.

The post was originally shared on the LessonToSelf account, which subtly explained the difference between trust and faith.

It explained how faith is hope that good things will happen eventually, while trust is accepting what has happened.

"There is a great difference between trust and faith. Faith is hope that good things will happen. Trust is a total acceptance of whatever happens. Faith is the mind’s resistance to doubt. Trust is a quality of the inner being. A distrusting person will always be tensed, anxious and fearful.

"Trust allows you to relax into existence. It is the evidence of understanding. Understanding that physical reality is akin to a dream state. Understanding that you are the entire universe experiencing itself through this body. Understanding that you are truly beyond time and death. Trust arises when these truths are grasped with great conviction. The deeper your trust, the closer you are to enlightenment," read the original post.

Meanwhile, Kohli recently featured in the WTC final where he endured a disappointing time as he managed 14 & 49 in two innings.

Kohli recently completed his 12th year in Test cricket, and his next assignment will be a two-match affair in the Caribbean, a place where he made his Test debut all those years ago.
