'SKY Nowadays...,' Manjrekar Compares Suryakumar Yadav With Kohli-Dhoni

India's batting superstar in T20 cricket, Suryakumar Yadav, has taken the world by storm in the past year or so because of his relentless hitting, with some incredible shots in all parts of the ground. His batting has been compared with many greats of the game, and in fact, now his fanbase is getting compared, too.

During the second ODI between India and Australia, Surya came out to bat in the 41st over with four wickets down and 302 runs on the board. While he was making his way out towards the centre, the crowd started chanting his name, and it sounded synced to perfection as whole of the crowd was shouting.

Seeing this, former Indian cricketer and current commentator Sanjay Manjrekar compared the Mumbai batter to the likes of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, mentioning how both are welcomed in every part of the country.

The kind of welcome Surya got today was an example of his growing popularity after his heroics with the bat.

SKY scored a magnificent 72 not out from just 37 balls with six whopping sixes and as many boundaries to trouble the Aussies big time as India ended up scoring 399 after the completion of their 50 overs. 

Earlier, opener Shubman Gill, alongside Shreyas Iyer, recorded a 200-run partnership for the second wicket, with both of them smashing centuries.
