The IPL 2024 is all set to unfold from March 22 with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the curtain raiser. The excitement around the tournament as always, is getting intense with each passing day while the news that Rishabh Pant will be finally back in action has also grabbed plenty of eyeballs.

Now, Sourav Ganguly, the Director of Cricket for Delhi Capitals have also thrown his hat in the discussion and seems pretty positive with how Rishabh Pant is shaping up ahead of the season.

Sourav Ganguly mentioned that Rishabh Pant's comeback will be a big boost for DC as Indian players are gold and the former captain hoped that Pant gets to the rhythm soon after missing competitive cricket for almost 17-18 months.

“It’s a huge boost for Delhi Capitals because Indian players are gold in the IPL. Obviously, he has not played much cricket and I hope he gets back to rhythm very quickly. It’s been a while he is away from competitive cricket, almost 17-18 months,” Sourav Ganguly told RevSportz in an interview.

Ganguly also added that Pant has worked very hard on his comeback and is pretty happy with his fitness.

“He has worked very hard to make a comeback. He is confident and wants to play for Delhi Capitals and India. I am extremely happy he is back and hope he gets through the season,” Sourav Ganguly said.

Moreover, the former Indian captain also revealed that he met Pant in Bangalore and stated that Pant is pretty confident of playing full 2024 IPL season.

“I met him in Bangalore recently. He is getting ready and hopefully will play in IPL 2024. He looked very confident about playing in the IPL 2024 which begins from March 22. And that’s seriously good news for us in Delhi and India,” Ganguly added.

Delhi Capitals will start off their IPL campaign against Punjab Kings on March 23 at Mohali and after the disappointment of the last season, we can expect them to improve their performance this season.
