Currently sidelined from Indian cricket, Yuzvendra Chahal remains active off the field, engaging in various activities that keep him in the spotlight. Whether it's dancing with his wife, Dhanashree, sharing jokes with friends, or advocating for social causes, Chahal consistently finds ways to stay visible outside of cricketing engagements.

Across social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, cricket enthusiasts have uncovered numerous heartwarming stories of Chahal's affection for his pet dogs. His latest endeavour involves lending his support to a non-profit organisation led by Manavi Rai that is dedicated to caring for abandoned or injured dogs.

In a video shared on Instagram by Manavi Rai, Yuzvendra Chahal can be seen endorsing her organization's cause. He earnestly appeals to his followers, stating,

"Hi, I'm Yuzvendra Chahal, and today I'm with Manavi Rai ma'am, who runs an organization for dogs. Please support her as much as you can."

Manavi expresses her gratitude for Chahal's backing, acknowledging his significant support for her organisation.

“Thank You Yuzi, Yuzi supports me a lot. He’s a huge support for my children and my organization,”  said Manavi.

Chahal's involvement underscores his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the cricket pitch, showcasing his compassionate side and dedication to social welfare causes.

Through his advocacy and actions, Chahal continues to inspire others to contribute to meaningful initiatives and make a difference in the lives of those in need.

On the professional front, Chahal has not been a regular feature in the Indian team in the recent past. His last T20I appearance was in August 2023 against West Indies, while his last ODI match dates back a year ago against New Zealand in Indore.

The wily leg-spinner was notably excluded from major tournaments such as the 2023 World Cup and the Asia Cup. Kuldeep Yadav has surpassed him in the hierarchy, emerging as India's preferred white-ball spinner in the past year.

The team management has recently favoured Ravi Bishnoi as the first-choice leg-spinner over Chahal. Bishnoi's strong performances in limited opportunities have warranted an extended run in the team.

Despite being India's leading wicket-taker in T20Is with 96 wickets from 79 innings at an economy rate of 8.19, Chahal's international appearances have been limited.

He is set to feature next in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), where he will aim for a stellar season in order to stake a claim for a national team comeback.
