Today, Indian batter Virat Kohli addressed and negated the swirling rumours about his alleged Instagram earnings.

Virat Kohli dismisses Instagram earnings rumour

A list circulated by Hopper HQ, a social media marketing firm, insinuated that Kohli garnered a staggering Rs. 11.45 crore for each post. This not only placed him 14th globally but also marked him as the top Asian earner, with actress Priyanka Chopra following at the 29th position.

Kohli, never one to shy away from addressing controversies head-on, quickly responded to the buzz.

“While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true,” tweeted Kohli as he dismissed his social media income rumours.

As Virat Kohli's social media income earnings saga unfolds, the attention of Indian fans shifts to the ongoing T20I series against the West Indies. Under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, India are trailing the series 2-1.

The team is gearing up to make a strong comeback in the final two matches, with the penultimate game slated to be played on Saturday at Central Broward Regional Park Turd Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.

Following the West Indies series, India's cricket calendar is packed with the Ireland series and the highly anticipated Asia Cup 2023, commencing on August 30, which Kohli will also be a part of.

Given its proximity to World Cup 2023, the Asia Cup is seen as a pivotal preparatory stage. With the re-entry of cricketing giants like Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah, India is poised as a strong contender for the title as they look to secure their eighth Asia Cup trophy.
