Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh, known for his provocative statements, has once again made headlines with his recent comments about Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Yograj, known for his candid remarks, has previously criticised former Indian wicket-keeper batter MS Dhoni.

In a recent interview, Yograj Singh was asked about his role in mentoring Arjun Tendulkar. His response shocked many, as he likened Arjun to “koyla” (coal), implying that while Arjun may have potential, it remains untapped.

"Have you seen diamond in a coal mine? Woh Koyla hi hai..nikalo patthar hi hai, kisi tarashgir ke haath me dalo to chamak ke duniya ko kohinoor ban jata hai (It is coal that is rock when taken out from a mine, but if it is given in proper hands, it goes on to become Kohinoor. It is priceless. But if that same diamond reaches a person who does not know its worth, he destroys it. I don't say it myself that Yograj Singh is a great character, Yuvraj Singh says it, 'there is magic in my dad's hand, he made me what I am.' Earlier, I was abused 'Hitler, Dragon Singh, I hate my father'. Everybody hated me in my home. My relatives said, I should not have been a father,"  he said.

Yograj Singh, who has previously trained Arjun, implied that although Arjun has potential, his success depends heavily on the guidance he receives.

Yograj Singh Blames MS Dhoni For Ruining Yuvraj Singh's Career

This is not the first time Yograj Singh has made headlines with his outspoken nature. He has been vocal in criticizing various cricketers, including Kapil Dev and former Indian captain MS Dhoni. Yograj has frequently blamed Dhoni for hindering the career of his son, Yuvraj Singh

In the same interview, he stated, “I won't forgive MS Dhoni. He is a big cricketer, but what he did to my son is unforgivable.”
