Travis Head has been in some extraordinary form in the latest time and it seems that nothing can stop him from scoring runs. His recent unbeaten 154 off just 129 balls in the first ODI against England on Thursday showcased his class and temperament.

In his innings, Travis Head showcased brilliant batting as he smashed bowlers all over the park. His scintillating knock was decorated with 20 fours and five sixes.

It is important to mention that, following David Warner's retirement from Test cricket, there has been speculation about Head potentially stepping into the role of an opener in the longest format of the game.

Travis Heads Reveals His Approach About Test Cricket

However, when Travis Head was questioned about the possibility of facing the new ball in Test matches, he remained tight-lipped and did not provide any definitive answers regarding his future role in the team's batting lineup.

“Keep the chatter, it makes it interesting. I’m not going to dive into that. I’ll just let that play out. I've worked extremely hard over a few years and I probably play the game a bit more relaxed now. I take it for what it is and try to enjoy what I'm doing. It's coming off in the way I'm playing," Head said.

Travis Head further added that he has dedicated hours to hone his skills in the past few years and this approach has helped him to play his game with more relaxed mindset. The shift that he has made in his mindset has helped him and is clearly reflected in his performance.

“I've worked extremely hard over a few years and I probably play the game a bit more relaxed now. I take it for what it is and try to enjoy what I'm doing. It's coming off in the way I'm playing.

The second ODI between Australia and England will be played on September 21, at Headingley, Leeds and Head will hope to continue with his excellent form ahead of the much important Border-Gavaskar Trophy late in November.
