'I've My Wife Watching': Rohit Sharma Reveals Turning Down Teammates Request For Ritika

Indian captain Rohit Sharma recently appeared on a Netflix original comedy show and revealed how he turned down his teammates' requests to let them have more strikes because, for him, wanting to impress his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, was most important.
Rohit Sharma married his long-time friend and manager, Ritika Sajdeh, in a close-knit ceremony back in 2015.
Ritika has been an anchor in Rohit's life since his early days. Over the years, their professional relationship blossomed into love as the duo decided to enter marital bliss.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, along with teammate Shreyas Iyer, appeared on Netflix's comic show 'The Kapil Sharma Show' and opened up about his relationship with wife Ritika.
Rohit gets candid!
The host Kapil Sharma asked Rohit if ever a teammate had requested him to let him have more strike to hit sixes since their girlfriend was visiting.
However, Sharma revealed turning down those requests because he had to impress his wife first. He added how Ritika anxiously watches him play and hence for him to make her happy is the most important thing.
“Yes, of course, we have had conversations like this but I tell them that, ‘While it's your girlfriend present at the stadium, I have my wife watching the match.' She sits with her fingers crossed during the whole match. So, she is more important for me," said Rohit.
Kapil Sharma also turned to Ritika Sajdeh and asked if it's tougher to manage Rohit Sharma as a husband or as a cricketer. The wife answered that she finds it tough to deal with Rohit as a husband, as on the cricket field, he is the captain calling the shots.
“As a husband. As a captain, he has his team to manage him. I don't have to do anything,” she answered.
Meanwhile, Rohit jumps into the conversation with a quirky one-liner, explaining how Ritika is the captain of the house and that he has to behave so that his wife will allow him into the house.
“She can't enter the field nor the dressing room but I have to enter the house. She is the captain there," Rohit added.
Rohit Sharma also briefly talked about the 2023 ODI World Cup heartbreak and how he was left surprised by the fans peaceful reactions.
