Post-match, Australian head coach Andre Borovec addressed the media in the absence of captain Matthew Wade, who was injured. Borovec acknowledged the team's shortcomings, especially in bowling during the crucial initial overs, despite their correct strategic intentions.

"Yeah, I think, if you look at it, we weren't up to the mark with the ball even though the dew came in early. In the first 6-7 overs, we could have been better with the ball. There was a fine line with execution with the ball in these conditions,” said Borovec.

He noted the challenges posed by the conditions and the thin margin for error in execution, highlighting that while their decision-making was sound, the execution did not align with the critical moments of the match.

“In these conditions, the plans and intent were there and you don't have to miss by an awful lot. We were making the right decisions but weren't executing in the right moments." Matthew Wade was hurt and hasn't come to the presentations. It's the Australian Coach for the interview,” concluded the 45-year-old.

Coming to the India versus Australia 2nd T20I, the Indian batting lineup shone brightly, amassing a massive total of 235/4 in their 20 overs.

The innings were marked by exceptional batting feats from Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Ishan Kishan, each contributing a half-century to the score. Rinku Singh also made a significant impact with a rapid 31 off just 9 balls. Nathan Ellis emerged as the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/45.

In response, Australia faced an uphill battle and ultimately fell short, managing 191-9. Despite valiant efforts from Marcus Stoinis, who scored 45 off 25 balls, and an unbeaten 42 off 23 by Matthew Wade, the Australian team couldn't reach the target.

The Indian bowling attack, led by Ravi Bishnoi and Prasidh Krishna who claimed three wickets each, played a crucial role in thwarting the Australian batting efforts.
