With their third win in the last three games, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) jumped three spots from the 10th position in the IPL 2024 standings.

While hosting Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Chinnaswamy stadium, RCB put GT in to bat first where Mohammed Siraj architected the win with his fantastic opening spell.

Opening the bowling, Siraj made Wriddhiman Saha poke the third ball of the first over to Dinesh Karthik.

He backed up his tight first over with another wicket in the powerplay, dismissing GT captain Shubman Gill cheaply.

The speedster who looked out of rhythm for most of this season stepped up tonight and ended his spell with 2/29.

In the post-match interview, Siraj revealed that he wasn't well last night and still played the game. He also told me about manifesting the first wicket that he took tonight.

"I was not well since the last night and wasn't going to play at all today, so this [performance] is great. When I got up this morning, I thought it was better to rest but God made me play," Siraj revealed.

"I manifested it this morning because I visualised that I would get Saha out like that, caught behind," he added.

About his form this season, he admitted to not being in good rhythm all season due to playing a lot of red-ball cricket since the World Cup final.

"I had been playing red-ball cricket for long and didn't play white ball since the World Cup. So my rhythm was missing when I came here. It came back gradually as I worked and practised more and more," the seamer concluded.

Up next, RCB will travel to Dharmasala to play against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Thursday, May 9.
