One of the most potent bowlers for India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 has been Kuldeep Yadav. With left-arm wrist spin, Yadav has bamboozled batters and currently sits jointly on top of the wickets tally in the competition with nine scalps.

After a four-wicket haul against Pakistan, the willy spinner snapped up four wickets against Sri Lanka on Tuesday, helping India win a close encounter by 41 runs.

Following a lean patch, Yadav has emerged as a much-improved white-ball bowler and has shown his class against quality oppositions, picking 31 wickets in 15 ODIs this year.

Following stellar performances in Asia Cup 2023, former India spinner Piyush Chawla has lauded Yadav for his change in mindset and approach of late. Speaking to Star Sports, the former UP bowler explained that Yadav' has no fear of failure in him, which has been his strength.

Here's what Chawla said

“Sometimes you have that fear of failure. Because, you think if I don't get the wickets then I might not play the next game. So once that fear is out of your mind, you try to get more attacking and you're not scared of getting hit, and in that process you end up getting up more wickets.

So that's what he's doing at the moment. He's not scared of, there's no fear of failure. He’s just coming and he's enjoying his bowling and the best part is he's looking to get wickets in every over,”

Since 2014, the 28-year-old has claimed 150 wickets in  88 ODIs, which include two five-wicket hauls and as many hat-tricks.
