Indian sporting legend Virat Kohli recently shared his wisdom on the true meaning of struggle and how modern day generations have glorified hardwork as struggle citing that he never had to make any sacrifices in his professional journey as a cricketer.

Virat Kohli is the epitome of success in sports across the world let alone just in India. His journey from the rags to riches has been an inspiration for millions of kids and youth worldwide.

However, at a recent event, Kohli rejected the notion of him going through struggle and having to make sacrifices whilst growing up.

Kohli was speaking to a crowd at an Asian Paints event and reflected on the true meaning of struggle. He said he comes from a place of privilege as he got to pursue the sport he loves the most as a career.

Never in his life did he have to struggle or make sacrifices as for him the real struggle is to get a roof on head and manage two meals a day.

He added that people these days have glorified hardwork as a struggle, and comparing failures on the cricket field to that of the struggle of a man trying to put a roof over his head is straightway unfair.

For Kohli, he has always treated his place as a privilege and never endorsed his journey as something filled with struggle and sacrifice.

At 35, Virat Kohli continues to lead by example for younger generations, whilst promoting the importance of being grateful for little things in life and not taking this life for granted.
