Hardik Pandya clobbered four towering sixes in his 47-run blitzkrieg against Bangladesh in the third T20I of their three-match series. Pandya's slog-overs cameo elevated the Indian total to a record 297-6.

The dashing all-rounder also pounded match-winning scores of a 19-ball 32 and a 16-ball 39* in the preceding two matches to headline India's emphatic 3-0 series win. With an additional wicket to his name, Hardik Pandya was fittingly adjudged as the 'Player of the Series' for his all-round excellence against Bangladesh.

A day after India's 3-0 triumph, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra heaped significant praise on the all-rounder. Chopra recalled some of Pandya's audacious strokes during India's record-shattering total in Hyderabad and applauded the cricketer for overcoming recent ‘personal and professional’ lows.

Aakash Chopra hails ‘sensational’ Hardik Pandya

Taking to his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra praised Hardik Pandya for overcoming his 'personal and professional lows' with much success and expressed his admiration for his ball-striking exhibition against Bangladesh. He said:

“Hardik Pandya was the Player of the Series. He has seen the lows of lows in his personal and professional life, getting booed - everything has happened. His batting in all three matches, he has played few balls but always with a strike rate above 200. I thought he was absolutely sensational.”

“His swag is different. It was like hooliganism. He hit a six over cover and a no-look one-handed six on the leg side... He is batting differently. It was almost like insulting the bowlers, as though they don’t have any status at all.”

Hardik Pandya clubbed an unbeaten 16-ball 39* to seal an easy run-chase for Team India in the first T20I. The cricketer also took the key Bangladesh wicket of Shoriful Islam in the slog overs. Pandya made 32 from 19 balls in his subsequent outing in Delhi before chipping in with a ballistic 18-ball 47 during India’s record-shattering evening in Hyderabad on October 12.
