Even after retiring from international cricket for years, MS Dhoni remains the foremost cricket icon in the nation. According to retired Indian opener and cricket analyst Aakash Chopra, Dhoni continues to be the emblem of the Chennai Super Kings and their most valuable asset.

 Chopra further labelled Dhoni as the "Don of Cricket," underlining his enduring influence and significance in the sport.

Heading into IPL 2024 as the reigning champions, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to kick off the season with a match against RCB at their home ground, the Chepauk Stadium. Chennai has improved its squad with notable additions such as Daryl Mitchell, Rachin Ravindra, and Mustafizur Rahman. 

Despite these impressive signings, Aakash Chopra asserts that MS Dhoni remains the linchpin of the CSK team, underscoring his enduring influence on the franchise.

Aakash Chopra was discussing this in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel.

"The name of their biggest strength is MS Dhoni because this captain knows how to manage the team. He is the Don of cricket and his name is MS Dhoni. He has the Midas touch. Whatever he touches, turns into gold. He provides freedom to people," Aakash told(5:30).  

Further, Aakash Chopra highlighted how Dhoni has a knack for bringing out the best in players.

"You suddenly saw the best of Dube, the best of Rahane - there are plenty of examples of players who have flourished under him. MS Dhoni is a very strong factor for me because a captain has a huge role in T20 cricket and you won't get a bigger captain than him easily," Chopra stated.
