'Chin Up' - Rohit Sharma Cheers Dhawan, Yuzi Chahal, Sanju Samson After WC Snub

On the day of Team India's World Cup provisional squad announcement Indian Captain Rohit Sharma and Chairman of Selection Committee Ajit Agarkar spoke to Indian media present there. When asked about those players who missed out, Rohit has an interesting take on it. 

In the press conference, Rohit spoke about players missing out on the bus to the World Cup 2023. The Indian Captain spoke positively about them. He stated that they looked at 'every possible' way before naming the final fifteen. Advising them, Rohit asked them to 'chin up' and wait for the right opportunity. 

Meanwhile, Rohit has himself gone through this phase 12 years back when India hosted the Cricket World Cup at home last time. At that time, he took to social media to express his disappointment for not getting the selection call. Now, the same has happened with players such as Yuzvendra Chahal, Sanju Samson, Shikhar Dhawan and a couple more.

Speaking about the squad announcement, there were no surprise calls as such, all the 15 players have automatically selected them. From the Asia Cup squad, Prasidh Krishna and Tilak Varma missed out.
